A holistic farm in the Northern Catskills

Why holistic?

We care deeply about how our food is produced and how it affects the planet. So we firmly believe in a holistic, sustainable approach to farming. We are equally committed to raising the highest quality produce and livestock we possibly can and caring for the land that nourishes them. Learn more about our holistic approach.

100% grass-fed, grass-finished beef

Grass-fed beef is leaner, higher in antioxidants and vitamins, and has 50% more omega-3 fatty acids than standard beef (Health.com). But in order to get all of those health benefits, you need beef that's entirely grass-fed, and labels can be misleading. Even if beef is labeled grass-fed, it might not be grass-finished.

At Sweet Judy Blues, our Black Angus beef is 100% grass-fed and grass-finished, and we ensure that the cattle graze on diverse forage. That way they get all the nutrients they need, which means the beef is naturally nutritious. Contact us to learn more about purchasing our beef.

The Farmers

We are Henry and Tara Roberts, farmers at Sweet Judy Blues. Henry, who grew up in Sydney, Australia, owns and operates Two Hands Cafe and Two Hands Restaurant in NYC. Tara, who's from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, is the author of two middle-grade books. In 2017, we bought a property in Greenville, New York. Together, we learned about farming and started to grow Sweet Judy Blues Farm.
